Confused Muftis! After her controversial statement on ‘Hindutva,’ Iltija Mufti is on thin ice politically; Mufti’s need to learn from Abdullah’s about politics

POONCH: Iltija Mufti, the daughter of former Chief Minister of J&K Mehbooba Mufti, has crossed all the limits of her unparliamentary gestures when, the other day at Jammu, she targeted ‘Hindutva’ by terming it as a ‘disease.’ Without knowing anything about ‘Hindutva,’ Iltija murdered the sentiments of Hindus across the globe.
On the one hand, late Mufti Mohd Sayeed, during his decades-long political innings, never uttered such an immature statement and always stood for the public cause, but it’s very unfortunate that the young politician in the making has crossed all the limits of her confused state of mind by targeting ‘Hindutva’ in strong and unfortunate words. Former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti also remained in controversy for her pro-Pakistan statements, but she never gave any statement against ‘Hindutva.’ After giving this statement, the daughter of Mehbooba Mufti is on thin ice, as maximum ‘Hindu’ organizations have condemned the statement of Iltija Mufti. Earlier, Iltija, who seems to be visibly short of wisdom, was also seen attacking some media platforms by terming them as “Godi Media” without knowing the definition of journalism. Her stance shows that she too follows a questionable ideology against the internal security of the country and always supports those media platforms that support her ideology silently, while those media platforms that support nationalism are branded by her as “Godi media.” Many thinkers, philosophers, and political pundits termed the statement of Iltija as uncalled for and advised her to have a study of ‘Hindutva’ that promotes global peace and love, as said by RSS Chief. After losing her maiden assembly elections, Iltija seems to be in a bewildered state of mind as she was seen giving controversial statements time and again. It is important to mention here that, before the assembly elections, when there were talks between various parties in J&K for a pre-poll alliance against BJP, Omar Abdullah categorically rejected the PDP by saying that the PDP has no base in Kashmir, and the same statement of Omar Abdullah proved true when the PDP performed poorly in the assembly election and got only three seats. Omar knew in advance that the people of Kashmir have rejected the PDP, and now, such an immature statement from the daughter of a former Chief Minister shows that the PDP lacks big brains and visionary people in its cadre. Iltija Mufti, who targeted ‘Hindutva,’ was never seen targeting Pakistan, Hurriyat forces, and other anti-India organizations for their decades-long terrorism and anti-national acts; instead, the Muftis always showed their tactful sympathy for them. Even the J&K police, army, paramilitary forces, and intelligence agencies remained on the target of Mufti’s with a hidden agenda to run their political factories. Those who targeted Kashmiri Pandits and threw them out of the valley were never targeted by Muftis for years, and this shows their double standard. It’s a hardcore fact that Muftis never gave a hard statement against anti-India forces but instead chose to target ‘Hindutva,’ which is a way of life and known for its high tolerance power, as repeatedly said by RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat. Even those hardcore nationalists who sacrificed their lives for the nation remained on the target of Mufti’s, and this double standard really shows the true character of Mufti’s. On the growing radicalization that has become a threat for the entire world, Mufti’s always adopted a pin-drop silence. Had ‘Hindutva’ remained an intolerant ideology, all the anti-national forces would have faced strong reactions from it every moment. “In reality, ‘Hindutva’ promotes global peace by believing in ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam,’ which means the whole world is one family,” said a BJP leader pleading anonymity. But Mufti’s don’t know anything about ‘Hindutva’ and, out of their complete lack of wisdom, have been targeting ‘Hindutva’ time and again to earn their political bread and butter. Muftis, who are nowhere in the politics of J&K now because of their short-sightedness and immature behavior, need to learn a lot from Abdullah’s about how to play constructive politics and to have respect for every religion. The young Iltija needs to broaden her vision; if blessed with wisdom, else her immature behavior will shatter the vision of Late Mufti Mohd Sayeed, who remained a complete statesman and gave justice to the people of Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh during his stint as Chief Minister twice with his much talked about ‘Healing Touch Policy.’ Although late Mufti Sayeed was also questioned on some controversial issues related to national security, his people-oriented government won the hearts and minds of the people in J&K. After late Sheikh Abdullah and Dr. Farooq Abdullah, only late Mufti Mohd Sayeed was considered the tallest leader in J&K who also served as a Union Home Minister of the country, but the way young Iltija Mufti is behaving in an immature way, the day is not far away when the PDP will find itself only in the history books. The recent developments on the part of some PDP leaders, especially the confused behavior of Iltija Mufti, have shown that the late Mufti Sayeed’s PDP, which lived in the hearts and minds of the people of all the regions of J&K, is on the wrong track. So the top brass of the PDP needs broad-minded advisors, not those fools who are projecting themselves as intellectuals by running a particular agenda against the national interest behind the curtains.
