Poonch boy Gurtej Singh clears Indian Engineering Services(IES) with All India 6th rank

POONCH: Local Poonch boy Gurtej Singh has cleared Indian Engineering Services(IES) exam, the result of which was declared today by UPSC. Gurtej got all Indian 6th rank with top rank in J&K.
Gurtej started his schooling from Christ School Poonch upto 7th class. From 8th to 12th class, he studied in JK Public school Jammu. From 2014 to 2018, Gurtej remained a student of B.Tech in NIT Srinagar and for two years, he prepared hard for all India level exam. Gurtej’s father S Jatinder Singh is presently working as Director FCS & CA and is a 1999 batch KAS officer and his mother is posted as Principal. S. Jatinder Singh served at different places in J&K in different capacities. Gurtej’s success has given an inspiration to youngsters who are likely to follow his footsteps for competing all India level. Gurtej, last time was failed to clear IAS viva voice, but this year, Gurtej’s hard work proved successful by getting all India rank 6th in IES. Gurtej’s father S Jatinder Singh has thanked all the people of Ponch and friends for their wishes.
