POONCH: Most inefficient administration of Raja Sukhdev Singh hospital Poonch is giving huge inconvenience to the people of Poonch district as patients coming to the hospital for getting themselves checked from Doctors are finding the absence of Doctors, because a majority of them are busy in the COVID ward.
A patient, pleading anonymity, said, “I am suffering from ENT problems and many times, I came here, but authorities told me that the ENT doctor is busy in the COVID ward and he cannot check patients. Now, please tell me, where should I go”. Similarly, patients of many other diseases also facing similar problems. ENT section is almost defunct due to the absence of Doctors as many ENT patients are feeling harassment and because of the absence of Doctors, they are forced to visit private medical practitioners for getting themselves tested. On one hand, the government claimed that efficient health care facilities are in place in Raja Sukhdev Singh hospital Poonch, but on the ground, the condition is different. Even, the silence of administration is questionable as patients are suffering continuously due to the absence of an ENT Doctor. ENT patients have appealed to high authorities to look into the matter and provide Doctors in the ENT ward and few other important sections.
