Working of district administration badly exposed on Independence Day; People raise eyebrows

POONCH: At a time, when the entire nation was celebrating 75 years of Indian independence, visionless officers of the Poonch administration tried their best to spoil the national day. During the speech of the DDC Chairman, mike was not properly working and DDC Chairman had to finish her speech without a working mike. Moreover, as per protocol, it was the duty of top officers of the civil administration to stand by DDC Chairman during  Independence day speech, but civil officers preferred to leave the DDC chairman and sat in the VIP gallery. Management of the function was badly exposed. Moreover, those teachers, health department officials, and police personals, who did their best during the COVID crisis were not selected for awards, but those having strong links in administration got awards. Few employees, who did nothing during the COVID crisis and were known as boot lickers in administration for self-interest got awards. This unfortunate episode has left those employees high and dry who contributed a lot during COVID crisis. Many police personals, health care officials, and teachers who remained on the toe were ignored and sycophants of administration were adjusted, even through late-night calls.  Even, media persons, who played their gigantic role during COVID and related challenges, were nor even given lip sympathy. Earlier, during the “At Home” party, the administration always invited “Media personals”, but this time, they were also ignored. Union government during the COVID crisis thanked media fraternity for its role and addressed them with Corona warrior, but the way, things were conducted during Independence Day, totally exposed administration on various fronts and people have raised their eyebrows. Failure on various accounts shows that the district administration has no big brains and they took national function so lightly. A proper inquiry is the need of the hour from the government,  because, if these inefficient officers are not taken to task, then they will continue to repeat such unfortunate tasks.
