POONCH/JAMMU: As the prestigious Jammu University has dropped the contents related to Jinnah, Syed and Iqbal from the syllabus of MA Political Science following massive protests from some student organisations, the Jinnah lovers have taken the issue seriously and have questioned the intentions of Jammu University. Now the question arises on what basis the Jinnah lovers have come in support of all these persons whose ideologies mostly remained against the interest (unity) of Bharat.

The same ideology has demolished the Kashmir region completely for the last more than three decades, when terrorists and their sympathisers were glorified while nationalist sentiments were crushed heavily by taking shelter in the ideologies of these people. It is pertinent to mention here that Syed Khan is considered a foundational thinker of the Two-Nation Theory in the Indian subcontinent. Earlier, he supported the majority-minority unity, but after the 1867 Hindi-Urdu controversy, he shifted his stance and openly said that the majority and the largest minority were distinct communities that could not thrive together as one nation. Syed Khan used the term “Qawm” to describe the largest minority as a separate nation. His controversial thought played a leading role in the creation of Pakistan by dividing Bharat. On the other hand, Iqbal is considered the “spiritual father” of the Two-Nation Theory, which provided the intellectual foundation for the creation of Pakistan. Syed and Iqbal, including Jinnah, advocated for a separate minority identity and said that the majority and largest minority in India could not thrive together. The ideologies of Jinnah, Iqbal and Syed Ahmed played a key role in destabilising pre-’47 Bharat, but the Jinnah lovers in J&K and all over Bharat love to project them all as modern thinkers for the reasons best known to them. When the prestigious Jammu university dropped the contents related to Jinnah, Iqbal and Syed Khan from the syllabus, this issue sent shockwaves among the Jinnah lovers, who never stood for their own country other than fooling the nation through their controversial shero-shayari. Why did the same lobby never come in support for including the history of those who played a leading role in the freedom movement of Bharat, like Chandrashekhar Azad, Ashfaqulla Khan, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, Rani Lakshmibai, Bhagat Singh, Savarkar and hundreds of other nationalists who sacrificed their lives for the nation? Why does this lobby openly come in support of these three people who were considered the brains behind the two-nation theory? These falsely projected intellectuals never pressed for unity among the majority and minority communities in a strong Bharat but always played their roguish role in dividing the nation; for their questionable role against Bharat, they don’t deserve to be figured out in books in a prestigious and nationalist educational institution like Jammu University. The nationalist-minded people across various sections of the society have welcomed the decision of Jammu University. A BJP leader, while talking to “POONCH TODAY” and pleading anonymity, said, “It’s time for educational institutions across the country to inculcate the spirit of nationalism by teaching the students about the history of nationalist forces and not those who played a downbeat role against the nation.” After this controversy, the majority of people, including political leaders, social workers and social media influencers who love the ideologies of Jinnah, Iqbal and Syed, were seen showing their frustration on the social media platforms, but they have forgotten that when it comes to national interest, controversial ideologies should have no space in a nationalistic Bharat and the prestigious Jammu university has shown this boldly.
