Apna sapna ‘Money Money’! Known as an unimpressive officer, a high ranked police officer has managed full control over police stations in monetary matters

POONCH: A police officer of a higher and respectable rank in a very important district of Jammu division, known as an unimpressive officer in police circles, mostly appears before all as a silent personality, but has only one agenda and that is to get huge financial  favours out of the way from police stations by using the power of his important chair. Tactfully, he has managed full control over most police stations under his jurisdiction.

Even in low rung police circles, his reputation has come down because mostly police officials of lower ranks used to call him as “Highly corrupt.”. A police official, on the condition of anonymity, told “POONCH TODAY, “Yeh paisa ka begar koi kaam nahi karta. Sabhi police station isko paisa dete hai. Sabhi Taftishi walon ko direct contact karte hai har case mein.” Insiders in the police department told “POONCH TODAY” that the modus operandi being adopted by the police officer is very exclusive. In front of the public, he portrays himself as a silent, honest and intelligent officer, but behind the curtains, he is hitting financial gains through police stations under his jurisdiction through public matters which reach to logical conclusion by means of compromise or through similar means. Reportedly, he is being backed by a few big political leaders of a particular contemplation. Even his immediate senior was reportedly backing him by all means, because he was also getting benefits from him. The reports of this officer also reached top police brass many times, but the said immediate senior officer of that powerful officer, who enjoys a powerful posting, always protected him. One more officer in the same important district, heading a Sub-Division, which is also known for bovine smuggling, following the way of his financially sound powerful officer. The strong police officer in question has formed strong links with various social and religious groups only with an agenda to use them in hours of crisis. In majority of cases in various police stations, he used to poke his nose in every matter and managed to ensure his say in majority of such cases, thereby earning in a handsome way with the help of few lower rank well known police officials in financial matters at respective police stations.   Reportedly, he was strongly backed by his immediate senior and an officer who is heading a Sub-Division in the same district. This strong networking between the three officers seems to be a pressure tactic on SSP psychologically so that SSP falls in line with them as far as professional and other similar matters are concerned. Although, he has spent maximum time on this post and sensing transfer in near future, he has started playing his cards through big political leaders and his well wishers in higher ups in police department for a next ‘Malaidaar’ posting. Sources of “POONCH TODAY” in the police department said that he has earned huge money from his ongoing district level important posting, but playing tactfully, he has not allowed any agency to report his crooked activities to the government. Will he get further good posting or Will his activities come in the notice of higher ups for a suitable action? Only time will tell.
