J&K Government should regularise all NHM employees of the J&K UT without any delay: says Ex-MLC Pardeep Sharma

POONCH TODAY NEWS

POONCH: Senior BJP leader and ex-MLC Pardeep Sharma has demanded the regularisation of NHM employees of J&K UT without any delay.

While addressing the NHM employees who were on strike for the last few days, Pardeep Sharma said that NHM employees are the backbone of the health department, and their selfless services towards strengthening the health care services in the J&K UT must be rewarded. He said that the NHM is a centrally sponsored scheme, and the union government already said last year in an advisory guideline that the states and UTs can regularise the services of NHM employees under Indian Public Health Standards (IPHS) norms, and if a few states have started the process to regularise the NHM employees, then it’s the duty of the J&K government, being headed by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, to regularise all the NHM employees without any delay. The ex-MLC said, “The NHM employees have been performing their duties for a long time. Even during the Operation Sindoor, their selfless service saved the lives of many affected people. During the COVID-19 pandemic also, the work done by NHM employees was highly appreciable.”  The senior BJP leader said that NHM employees form the backbone of the healthcare services across the J&K UT, and as per the advisory guidelines of the union health ministry and the action taken by some states in a phased manner to regularise them, the J&K UT government must take the lead in setting an example in the country for regularising all the NHM employees. Pardeep assured full supported to the protesting NHM employees for the future. Earlier, various political leaders like Riyaaz Naaz Choudhary, Rajesh Raina, and Er Saleem Bandey (Retd X.En) also addressed the gathering of NHM employees and assured full support to them.
