IGP Mukesh also chaired a meeting of civil society which was attended by Satish Sasan, President S.D Sabha Poonch; Advocate Sanjay Raina, Adv Mohd Zaman, Taj Mir, S Narinder Singh, Adv Rajinder Singh, S Surjan Singh, Moulana Farooq Misbahi, Moulana Mohd Sayeed, Basant Ram, Pervaiz Afridi, Sunil Gupta, Kifayat Hussain and others. During the meeting various issues were raised by civil society which included proper supply of oxygen cylinders, Army hospital at standby to meet COVID emergency, special police van for carrying dead bodies of COVID patients, opening of Mughal road, strengthening of health infrastructure at Poonch besides other issues of local importance. The members of civil society appreciated the working of police during COVID pandemic. Dy.SP DAR Sachin Gupta was appreciated by one and all for his act of saving life of a patient by donating his blood at proper time. The members said that entire team of police comprising SSP Dr Vinod Kumar, ASP Khalid Amin, Dy.SP HQRS Nawaz Ahmed Chouhan, Dy.SP Ops Munish Sharma, Dy.SP DAR Sachin Gupta and SHO S.D Singh did a splendid task during pandemic and their services during this period is highly praiseworthy. SHO Poonch S.D Singh was also appreciated by people of Poonch as they said that during day and night, SHO was seen moving everywhere for forcing strict lockdown. Addressing the meeting, IGP Mukesh Singh said that police is playing a vital role in containing COVID-19 virus by ensuring strict lockdown everywhere by following the directions of government. He said that the issue of Mughal road will be discussed at higher level of governance. Mukesh said, “I request you all to use double mask to ensure safety of you people and your families. Also guide people to follow COVID appropriate behavior.” The IGP said that all the issues raised by the civil society members will be brought into the notice of government for their urgent redresser.
