Poonch brigade organises “Run for Unity” on 22nd Kargil Vijay Diwas

POONCH: In a big gesture on the juncture of 22nd Kargil Vijay Diwas, Poonch Brigade, today organised a massive “Run for Unity” race in which more than 350 youngsters participated.
Chanting slogans of Indian Army zindabad, Bharat Mata ki Jai, youths were seen full of enthusiasm. Large number of youths from nearby villages of Kausaliyan, Gulpur, Noorkote, Degwar, boys and girls from sports complex Poonch, children from Bal Ashram, Poonch and soldiers of Indian Army and BSF participated in the race and later, “Run for Unity” T-Shirts and participation certificates were presented to all the participants. On the occasion, Commander 93 Inf Brigade gave a heartening lecture to youngsters on different aspects of sportsmanship and patriotism. He encouraged the youth towards national development and advised them to play their active role for the nation. SSP Poonch Vinod Kumar was also present on the occasion. Ex-servicemen, Veer Naris and retired porters who dedicated their life in service of the nation were also present on the occasion. They were felicitated with blankets and shawls.
