Retd Divisional Sports officer Krishan lal visits Indoor Sports complex to encourage young players

POONCH:  Renowned sportsman and retired Divisional sports officer Krishan Lal Sharma, who is known as father of Poonch volleyball,  visited indoor sports complex in the premises of sports stadium Poonch and interacted with young players of different indoor games like Table Tennis, Badminton and Taekwondo.

While interacting with youngsters, Krishan Lal Sharma gave valuable tips to players and said that his visit was only to encourage budding players who are the future of country in sports. It is pertinent to mention here that Krishan lal Sharma played  a remarkable role in the promotion of sports in Poonch district and in Jammu region, especially for the strengthening  the game of volleyball. He remained at important positions in sports department and retired as Divisional Sports officer Jammu. Incharge sports stadium Nirdosh Sharma was also there and he also hailed budding players for their dedication towards games. President Table Tennis Association Ajeet Singh Jeet, Gen, Secy  Saleem Bandey, Sr Vice President Dr Jasbir Singh, Narinder Singh PEM, Mushtaq Ahmed Boxing coach, Rajinder Singh coach Taekwondo, Sourab Sharma PET and other staff members of sports stadium were also there. Speaking on the occasion, Krishan Lal Sharma, said, “Poonch has huge talent in all games and its up to the coaches to bring out the best from youngsters. He appreciated all coaches who are shaping youngsters in different games.” Saleem Bandey, on the visit of, Krishan Lal, said, “The visit of coach Krishan Lal ji was very encouraging as he played  a remarkable role in the promotion of sports in Poonch district and I hope, with the valuable advice given by him to youngsters, budding players are likely to shine in future if they start acting on the tips given by Krishan Lal ji.” It is important to mention here that Krishan Lal Sharma promoted sports in Poonch district without any self interest and almost did his selfless job in a silent way as it has become a fashion in sports that large number of people associated with sports  believe in projecting themselves with a vision of self interest only, but the services  given by Krishan lal Sharma to sports is an eye opener for all and it is  also a big lesson that only self less service matters which has the capacity to win hearts.
