POONCH: The J&K UT Government has transferred 27 police officers and former SP CID SB Jammu, Rohit Baksotra  was directed to join district Poonch as SP. Whereas SSP Rajouri Sheema Nabi Qasba has been posed as SP(Tech) CID Hqrs.

During the last two moths, hectic discussion was going on in top corridors of power about sensitivity of Poonch and Rajouri districts and accordingly, many names came for discussion  as proper candidates for new postings as SSP Poonch and SSP Rajouri. After hectic deliberations, Rohit Baksotra was chosen for Poonch district and Mohd Aslam, former SSP CID as SSP Rajouri. As both the border districts of Rajouri and Poonch are sensitive, it would be interesting to see how both the newly posted SSPs take this challenge.
