POONCH: After the failure of civil administration and Poonch police to take action against illegal parking at several places in Poonch city, traffic police officials are also sailing in the same boat as the majority of traffic officials posted in Poonch city, least bothered to ensure smooth traffic flow, let alone take action against illegally parked vehicles at different places in Poonch city. 
Outside Shri Krishan Chander Degree College Poonch, haphazard parking of vehicles daily causes huge inconvenience to the public, but nobody is ready to address the issue. The students of the degree college Poonch, which is the top seat of learning in the district, suffer daily due to illegally parked vehicles outside the college gate and State Bank of India from morning to evening hours. Likewise, near Parade Park and Poonch Fort, the same issue of illegal parking causes huge inconvenience to the public, but who cares, as nobody in the administration is interested in addressing the issue in the public interest? Traffic police officials, whose main job is to take action against illegally parked vehicles, are seen nowhere, and this raises a big question mark on the working of traffic police. Just to show their top bosses that they are working on the ground, traffic police officials once in a blue moon used to call some paid YouTubers to highlight their vehicle-checking activities for some time. By using these tactics, they show their superiors that they are very much active on the ground, but in reality, they have failed on all fronts. The concerned officials, whose main job is to ensure smooth traffic flow in addition to taking strong action against illegally parked vehicles, have failed in the region, as their lack of professional zeal in performing their duties on the ground raised a big question mark on the working of traffic police in the region. The common man suffers a lot outside the degree college, parade area, Nakahanwali Chowk, and Poonch Fort Chowk due to illegally parked vehicles from morning to evening hours. In addition to students of the Shri Krishan Chander Degree College, the public that passes through the same areas suffers a lot. Due to the presence of the State Bank of India and Degree College Poonch, the area is highly sensitive, as in the past, a terrorist also entered the said area by taking advantage of the heavy rush and fired a few rounds before he was eliminated by the police some years ago. Due to the illegally parked vehicles from morning to evening hours outside the degree college gate, everybody is suffering, but the traffic police officials and the administration are least bothered over the issue. The principal of the college has also maintained a questionable silence on the issue. Traffic police officials need to take strong action against illegally parked vehicles daily to give a sense of convenience and security to the commuters who used to pass from these roads daily.
