JAMMU/BIHAR: Young daughter of late political heavyweight Devinder Rana, Divyani Rana has won the Nagrota assembly seat, taking the BJP’s tally to 29. Young Divyani got 42,350 votes, while Panther Party candidate and former Minister Harsh Dev Singh got 17,703 votes. NC’s candidate Shamim Begum stood at the third position by getting 10,872 votes. 
Divyani Rana’s win has increased the confidence of the saffron brigade in J&K, as the party has gained one more seat. Divyani Rana, an economics graduate from California University, entered politics after the death of his late father, Devinder Raina, who was a former MLA from Nagrota and considered a political heavyweight of J&K politics. However, in Bihar, the NDA alliance under the trusted Modi brand swept Bihar by winning 202 out of 243 seats, as sitting Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is set for a fifth straight term. After this landslide victory, PM Modi addressed the party workers and the supporters at the BJP headquarters, New Delhi. Speaking on the occasion, PM Modi said that it’s a new era for Bihar, and the state will progress further during the next five years. This huge win has increased the confidence of BJP cadres across the nation, and it is likely that the BJP will continue to maintain this tempo in the run-up to the Bengal elections to defeat sitting Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. From J&K to the national capital, the BJP cadre was seen upbeat, hoping to perform better in the coming assembly elections in some states. The NDA win in Bihar will boost the party’s prospects in the Assam, West Bengal, and U.P. assembly elections, which are due in 2026 and 2027. A senior BJP leader from Jammu told “POONCH TODAY” that the BJP under the dynamic leadership of PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah has done a lot for the nation, and this is the only reason that people across the country have shown their faith in PM Modi. He said that the win of BJP from the Nagrota assembly constituency and the Bihar thumping win are clear indications that the nation has understood that BJP is the only party that can lead India towards being a more stable, developed, and powerful country in the world. He said, “It’s a saffron wave, and no power on earth can stop it, as it is being led from the front by a trusted Modi brand.”
