Operation Sindoor 2: Has India planned something big against all its enemies? Stay mentally prepared, says Rajnath Singh
Operation Sindoor 2: Has India planned something big against all its enemies? Stay mentally prepared, says...

But the NC candidate Ajaz Jan surprised everyone because political pundits predicted a tough fight between the NC and BJP on the Poonch haveli seat. But Jan proved every prediction wrong and took a record number of 41,807 votes. During the parliamentary election, the NC candidate Mian Altaf got 47,424 votes from the Poonch Haveli constituency, and Ajaz Jan played a big role in that result. “POONCH TODAY” in its story published on 16th June with the title “Parliament election performance: Ajaz Jan still has political dominance over others in Mandi,” in which it was written that Ajaz Jan enjoyed a massive support of the people in Poonch Haveli constituency. After publication of the story, fingers were raised on the journalism of “POONCH TODAY” that the story has no truthful facts, but the result of assembly election 2024 has proved that the story published by “POONCH TODAY” was 100% right as Ajaz Jan again scored more than forty thousand votes a second time for the National Conference. In parliamentary elections, the NC got 47,424 votes, and in assembly elections, the NC got 41,807 votes from Poonch Haveli. It clearly shows that Ajaz Jan has played a big role for the party in both the elections. The result of Poonch Haveli constituency proved out to be a one-sided affair as Ajaz Jan, who remained on the front right from the first round of counting, proved every prediction wrong. Earlier, on many political and social media platforms, a narrative was seen running that the Poonch haveli seat will witness a tough contest between the NC and BJP, but Ajaz Jan proved everything wrong with his historic performance in terms of votes. It is important to mention here that the father of Ajaz Jan, Late G.M. Jan, remained MLA twice, and Ajaz Jan has equalled the record held by his father. From 1996 onwards, this Poonch haveli seat was won by the Jan family four times and one by Shah Mohd Tantray as a PDP candidate. Earlier, the seat was also won by Jehangir Hussain Mir as a Congress candidate during the bi-election after the death of former MLA G.M. Jan. Now with a massive mandate behind his back, huge responsibility lies on the shoulders of Ajaz Jan to come up to the expectations of people from every section of society. On the one hand, Jan has entered his name in history books after taking a record 41,807 votes, but on the other hand, every eye is on him from a developmental point of view. The remarkable performance of Ajaz Jan has shut down the political industry of his opponents for some time. On the other hand, Ch Akram (Independent) and Javed Rana (NC) have won Surankote and Mendhar constituencies with 34,201 and 32,176 votes, respectively.
