Mandi and Mendhar deserve Municipal committees, ignored deliberately by political class

POONCH: Tehsil Mandi and Tehsil Mendhar are two important places of Poonch district, but always ignored by political class of these areas just for their self interest. Mendhar mostly ruled by National Conference and PDP, but both the parties completely ignored development of Mendhar, reason best known to them. Similarly, tehsil Mandi is most  beautiful place from tourism point of view, even more catchy than Gulmarg and Pahalgam, but due to poor vision of successive political leaders of Mandi who remained MLA’s and MLC’s, this area failed to witness development of any kind. Locals of these areas have no faith on political class and are keen to do development on their own. Local development can only be possible with the presence of Municipal committees in both the tehsils and government should approve Municipal committees in both the  areas, feel the locals. Tariq Ahmed, while talking to “POONCH TODAY”, said, “Mandi is an extreme beautiful place and I appeal to Governor administration to approve Municipal committee here as people here want to develop this area on their own”. Similarly, Rajat Kapoor from Mendhar, said, “Politicians gave us nothing and locals here feel that only local Municipal committee can bring good days for we people”. Tehsil Mandi is also important from religious tourism point of view as internationally renowned Shri Budha Amarnath Temple is located in the heart of Mandi town. Similarly, Ziarat Sian Ilahi Baksh is few miles away from Mandi town. Having huge importance, both Mendhar and Mandi deserve Municipal committees in addition of getting huge funds under all sectors for development.
