POONCH: The thumping victory of the BJP in Assam, West Bengal and Puducherry shows that the Brand Modi is still powerful on the ground, and there is no substitute for it from any political party in the country.
This is the first time after independence that the BJP has stormed into power in West Bengal, a dream which was considered impossible for the BJP, but the arrogance and misuse of power by the former chief minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee, against the majority community scripted her massive downfall. Time and again, Mamma Banerjee threatened the PM Modi-led union government with dire consequences on various issues for more than seven years, but the deep-level strategy scripted by the RSS and BJP made things possible for the saffron brigade. Mamata Banerjee becomes the second chief minister of a state after former CM of J&K Mehbooba Mufti, who dared to challenge PM Modi various times on issues of national security. On the issue of temporary articles 370 and 35-A, Mehbooba once said that nobody would give a shoulder to the tricolour if the Union government scrapped articles 370 and 35-A, and what happened after that is a well-known history in front of all, as one year before launching the operation abrogation, PM Modi bulldozed the kingdom of Mehbooba Mufti as she was thrown out of power in advance when the BJP took its support back from the PDP. PM Modi even proved Mehbooba Mufti wrong, as after the abrogation of temporary articles 370 and 35A, not a single incident took place in Kashmir; instead, Kashmiris were seen waving the tricolour everywhere, as massive development projects have been started after the abrogation of the special status. The treatment given to former CM of J&K Mehbooba Mufti by PM Modi now has been extended to Mamata Banerjee, who has been thrown out of power due to the emergence of an extreme saffron wave. The emergence of the BJP in West Bengal and its retention of power in Assam are positive developments for strengthening internal security, especially given the numerous national security concerns in Bangladesh and Assam, where non-state actors have long been active against India, choosing Bangladesh, China, Pakistan, and Turkey as their playfields. Winning West Bengal was a big challenge for PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, as it was an issue of national security concern. The timely implementation of SIR helped the union government in deleting illegal voters. Additionally, the authorities made adequate security arrangements to ensure the people of West Bengal could safely leave their homes and cast their votes. Due to the foolproof security arrangements, voters were able to cast their votes freely with more than 90% of the polling, a trend which was a strong indication that West Bengal voted for a change from a dictatorial regime to a democratic and development-orientated one. The return of Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma is again good news from a national security point of view, as there were large-scale reports of illegal immigrants from Bangladesh who have taken shelter in Assam and have become a big internal security threat. The emergence of a BJP-led government in West Bengal was a dire necessity for the nation, as India has been facing growing threats from the borders of Bangladesh and Pakistan for a long time. PM Modi, despite facing huge opposition from various anti-national brigades operating within the country, played his huge role in ensuring a big victory for the BJP in West Bengal and Assam. The massive victory of the BJP in Assam, West Bengal and Puducherry shows that the RSS and BJP running on Brand Modi are poised to play a similar role in a few states, like Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Goa, Manipur, Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat, whose elections are scheduled next year. Meanwhile, two former Chief Ministers of J&K and West Bengal, namely Mehbooba Mufti and Mamata Banerjee, who challenged and gave harsh statements regularly against PM Modi on various issues, including the national security matters, must be feeling sorry for their misadventure. The strong emergence of the saffron wave in West Bengal and the return of the BJP in Assam and Puducherry are strong indications that nationalists all over the country have started realising the importance of a nationalist government everywhere to counter the dangerous propaganda of anti-India countries and their silent soldiers living in the territory of India with their sole agenda to destabilise India by hatching various conspiracies.
