Gupta lashes out at district administration, demands inquiry on constructions in “No Construction zone” and encroachment over water bodies

POONCH: Senior BJP leader, Sunil Gupta, today lashed out at District administration over brazen illegal constructions in “No Construction zone.”

In a statement issued here, Gupta said that few people have openly encroached water bodies and raised shops. He said that water bodies are for public use included PHE and Irrigation purposes, but silence of administration has allowed the people to encroach everything. Demanding an enquiry from government, Gupta said that, on one hand, administration declared the area as “No Construction zone” and on the other hand, allowed illegal constructions. On proposed shifting of bus stand, he warned administration that a big agitation will be started, if administration failed to address the aspirations of people on bus stand. He said that nothing can be constructed in the said area. Gupta also demanded  registration of FIR against Irrigation and Flood Control department because of its failure to take action against those persons, who have encroached water bodies and culverts. Gupta said, “Administration took action on poor people but no action has been taken against influential people.” Seeking immediate attention of LG J&K UT, Gupta stressed for a high level inquiry against district administration over illegal constructions in “No Construction zone” in addition of constructions of shops over water bodies and encroachment of culverts.
