POONCH TODAY NEWS

POONCH: The nation has witnessed a number of times that some high-profile politicians across the country, particularly in J&K, were always seen giving anti-Bharat statements by praising Pakistan, directly or indirectly, but the government of the day never took any action against those powerful politicians, and this weak approach on the part of the union governments and the successive state/UT governments gives an impression to the common man that the law of the land is only for the common man and not for those powerful politicians, who used to spit venom against the nation repeatedly.

Has the nation forgotten the moment when Late Mufti Mohd Sayeed, while taking the oath as Chief Minister of the erstwhile state of J&K on March 1, 2015, in the presence of PM Narendra Modi, thanked Pakistan for ensuring peaceful assembly elections in J&K? Similarly, former Chief Minister
J&K Mehbooba Mufti also threatened Bharat by saying that nobody would give a shoulder to the tricolour if Article 370 was removed. It’s a strange thing. that Muftis and Abdullahs were always seen favouring talks with Pakistan, the country that has always played foul against Bharat during the last four decades of terrorism. The recent statement of Dr Farooq Abdullah that it is Pakistani that is raising the Kashmir issue worldwide, but the intentions of the union government are not good. Such an attempt from high-profile political leaders shows that for Kashmir-based politicians, the interest of Pakistan is supreme and not Bharat, and the recent cabinet expansion justified that fact that for Kashmir politicians, nationalist Jammu
stands nowhere, whereas Muftis and Abdullahs always enjoyed their political powers for decades under the constitution of India, but their repeated controversial statements against the national interest show that they internally love Pakistan, and their self-proclaimed love for Bharat is just for political purposes. It is pertinent to mention here that before the abrogation of temporary articles 370 and 35A, Abdullahs and Muftis were also seen challenging the Union government by saying that no power on earth could abrogate the said articles, and if that happened, there would be bloodshed in J&K, and what happened after that is a history, as there was a smooth and peaceful transition from a state to UT without a single bullet being fired. Moreover, Muftis and Abdullah were also seen touching on the issue of J&K being a Muslim-majority UT repeatedly, and such a statement shows the true minds of these leaders who are always ready to play communal politics, without understanding the fact that if J&K is a Muslim-majority UT, then it is in the Indian territory, which is a Hindu-majority nation. Still, it’s the open hearts of the majority community leaders that they choose India to be a secular country and never give provocative religion-based statements, like Muftis and Abdullahs used to give, to show their cheap mentality. But the issue required the attention of the union government to ensure that the law of the land is equal for all when it comes to the issues of internal and external security concerns, and no leaders, no matter how influential they are, should never be allowed to spit venom against the country on religious lines. When the law plays its role against the anti-nationals, it will encourage the morale of nationalist forces across the nation, as the anti-nationals have taken everything  for granted by misusing their freedom of expression and other constitutional freedoms. Such repeated anti-national statements in favour of Pakistan by Kashmir-based prominent political leaders justified the fact that the union government was one hundred percent right when it abrogated the temporary articles 370 and 35A, keeping in view the national security interests, as nothing is more supreme than the nation, and it would be better if the Kashmir-based political forces and other similar forces across the nation understood this fact sooner than later, because if the nationalist forces decided to hit the streets, which never happened in the past, to protect the nation, then anti-nationals would find no place to hide.
