Question mark on the intelligence grid of Rajouri police over repeated attempts of blasts in the district

RAJOURI: More than seven months have passed but Rajouri police officers have failed to solve the case of a possible grenade blast on the house of a BJP leader few months ago leading to a death of a minor boy besides injuries to some persons.

In addition to this blast incident, Rajouri district also witnessed some terrorist related incidents few months ago. Now the latest twin blasts in Kotranka area of Rajouri has put Rajouri police under question mark as it seems that the intelligence grid of Rajouri police has failed to bring culprits to justice. Such repeated incidents have shaken the faith of people in policing. As per the reports of some agencies, OGWs of anti national forces are very much active in Rajouri  and Poonch districts, but it’s unfortunate that the intelligence grid of Police has failed to detect such forces which is a big security concern for the future. In addition to these incidents, one more issue has threatened the younger generation as drug mafia has ensured its presence in majority of areas of Rajouri district, but police officers have failed to wage a full fledged war against drug terrorism. It is pertinent to mention here that former SSP Rajouri Yougal Manhas tried his best in ensuring a major crackdown on drug trafficking and other social evils and its effect were visible on the ground, but after his departure from the scene, Rajouri district has witnessed sharp decline in professional approach from police in solving sensitive and important issues. All the cases related to blasts need to be properly investigated by Rajouri police sooner than later to give an impression to the people that Rajouri police officials are not sitting idle, rather they are fully attentive on their job of ensuring peace and stability in the district. Few days back, a religious leader also tried to disturb the peaceful atmosphere of Rajouri district with his antisocial speech on the issue of the movie “The Kashmir Files”, and such forces deserve befitting retribution.  Are anti-national forces trying to disturb Rajouri district? This is a million dollar question for which security agencies being led by Rajouri police from the front need to respond by taking action against anti social and anti national forces with an eye on winning public confidence in police else those who were given important postings by government to ensure victory of law and order over various evils will lose their credibility in the eyes of government what to call of a common man.
