The Deputy Commissioner meticulously went through various aspects of the Independence Day celebrations, including security arrangements, venue decoration, public address system, seating arrangement, fire safety, cultural programs, parade preparations, refreshments, plantation drive, illumination of government buildings, media coverage, decoration etc. The Deputy Commissioner has instructed all the concerned departments to make the arrangements well in time for a smooth celebration of this national event. The main function will be held at the sports stadium, where the Chief Guest will unfurl the national flag and take the salute at the march-past presented by various contingents. The Deputy Commissioner also directed the authorities to launch a comprehensive cleanliness drive in and around the venue and ensure uninterrupted power and water supply on the day of the celebrations. Furthermore, the Deputy Commissioner informed that a full-dress rehearsal will be held on August 13, and a screening of cultural activities will take place at Sheesh Mahal on August 10, 2024. The Information Department has been tasked with making arrangements for a fault-free public address system and comprehensive media coverage of the event, which will commence with the playing of Shahnai by the department.
