Power crisis continues in Poonch even after 50 MVA transformer’s installation

POONCH: Its seems that Power Development Department(Corporation) who got funds in crore of rupees over the years,  has hoodwinked the people of Poonch again.

Few days back, district administration appealed to the public of Poonch to cooperate with administration as installation of 50 MVA transformer work was to be started by replacing one 20 MVA transformer. Administration also assured the public that after the full installation of 50 MVA transformer, there will be no unscheduled power cut and voltage will be improved. As the said work has been completed, but power crisis in Poonch continued to be the same and this shows that administration has befooled the people. Moreover, scheduled power cut now is of 8 hours and this fact is under question because before the installation of 50 MVA, there was similar eight hour power cut. Locals have demanded an explanation from administration for not reducing power curtailment schedule even after the installation of 50 MVA transformer and also seek official statement about continuous unscheduled power cuts. They have also demanded audit of funds used in PDD over the years and at the same time, they questioned why electric panels in grid station Kamsar have not been changed even after 20 years and it shows that officials looted government exchequer by showing fake works on paper, but did nothing on the ground.  .
