Tributes paid to Shaheed Dy.SP Manjeet Singh by Poonch Police

POONCH: Rich tributes were paid today morning to Shaheed Dy.SP Manjeet Singh, at his memorial at Bus stand and also at DPO.  Dy.SP Manjeet Singh, sacrificed his life for the nation while fighting with militants on March 14, 2003.

The daring officer was known in J&K police for his bravery and utmost dedication towards his duties. SSP Poonch, Ramesh Angral, district police officers, CRPF personnel, civil officers, prominent citizens and others were present on the occasion and  paid rich tributes to the Martyr and garlanded his statue. ASP Poonch, DySP DAR, DySP, DySP Ops and other dignitaries from the town were also present on the occasion and paid rich tributes to the brave Police Officer who saved many precious lives of the people at Bus Stand and made supreme sacrifice.

Talking to media, SSP Poonch, Ramesh Angral said that every police personal is feeling proud to salute Shaheed Dy.SP Manjeet Singh,  who sacrificed his life while serving the nation.
Another function in this regard was held in DPO Poonch, where floral tributes were also paid at Shaheed Sthal of the martyrs and special prayer was offered for the peace to the departed soul. Former Dy. Chairman Legislative Council Jahangir Mir, former MLC Yashpaul Sharma, noted Anchor Pardeep Khanna  and other prominent persons were also present on the occasion.
