DC Office, SSP Office among defaulters of PDD’s power tariff ; Charity must begin from home

POONCH: Shocking, but true as DC office Poonch and SSP Office Poonch are among hundreds of defaulters of PDD’s power tarrif where as self styled “honest politicians” of Poonch also fall in the list of defaulters on account of power tariff. Whereas  large number of government officials, who have occupied government quarters are also defaulters. Such an attitude of government officials shows that those sitting at the helm of affairs are violating government rule at will at one hand and on the other hand, dictating terms to common man regarding submission of regular electricity bills. As they say that “Charity must begin from home” so those sitting in DC Office and SSP office  should come forward and clear their outstanding bills to set an example for the common man of Poonch, said an elderly citizen. Satvinder, a businessman, said, “Its shocking that top class officers of Poonch administration and prominent politicians are in PDD’s defaulters list and such a weak attitude on their part shows that they all are chips of the same block”. Mushtaq Ahmed, a local, said, “It shows that “Might is right” policy is going on in Poonch administration where mighty officials violate rules at will leaving common man to deposit bill.” Locals have appealed  the power department to bring in public domain, the list of government officials and politicians, who are defaulters of power department and also show their outstanding dues.
