Attention tainted officers: Right To Information Act now fully implemented in UT J&K

POONCH TODAY NEWS

POONCH: Over the years, tainted officers of J&K administration, especially in Poonch and Rajouri districts, violated J&K RTI act at will and no body took them to task for violating the transparency act. Majority of officers preferred to sidelined the said act, because they fully knew that no body was there to take them to task. But, with the conversion of J&K state into UT, Right To Information Act has been fully implemented in UT J&K and it would be mandatory for all officials/officers to follow the act in true spirit. It is pertinent to mention here that officers / officials in J&K remained neck deep involved in corruption and sensing trouble through RTI act after exposure of information, majority of them violated the said act, thereby, denying the citizens of the state full information access about their wrong acts. With the conversion of J&K state into UT, RTI act is all set to play a big role in development in addition of exposing the wrong doers.  New UT government needs to direct its officer to educate the masses about the importance of RTI, thereby giving every body a chance to play its role in the process of development by using the transparency act.
