Horrible state of affairs in Raja Sukhdev Singh Hospital Poonch

POONCH: Already under radar for its various questionable activities, Raja Sukhdev Singh hospital is again in news and this time for a widely circulated video on social media which shows that a staff member is openly taking money from patients who come for checkup in one of the section in hospital. This video has shattered the confidence of people in the affairs of hospital. Moreover, few days back, CMO ordered detachment of staff posted at various health institutions, but that order was not implemented on ground due to the involvement of various BMO’s and  few tainted staff members of health Department Poonch, who are known only for minting money through various means.  When it comes to patients care, there is huge shortage of important medicines in hospital and as a result, patients are forced to buy medicines from nearby shops and this shows that a strong nexus is operating in hospital in which few doctors are getting huge commission from medical shops. On one hand, health department claims huge expenditure incurred on various activities in the interest of patient from Hospital Development fund,  but on the other hand, hospital fails to provide important medicines to patients. Highly placed sources told “POONCH TODAY” that few persons posted in hospital looted hospital development funds over the years by showing fake projection of various activities done. Such state of affairs in Raja Sukhdev Singh Hospital shows that everything is not well in the hospital and government needs to address the issue, else, patients will suffer more, if erring officials are not taken to task.
