Reacting to this unfortunate development, a prominent face of Jammu media told “POONCH TODAY”, “Madam ko yeh samajna chaiye ki media achar nikalta hai, leta nahi hai.” He added, “The media fraternity should come forward and condemn this irresponsible statement of DC Reasi, who seems to be shouting in the air without any base.” Another reporter, pleading anonymity, said, “LG J&K, Union Information Minister, and Chairman Press Council of India should intervene as targeting media persons by officers and politicians has become a fashion and this practice needs to be stopped at the earliest.” Meanwhile, the media fraternity has condemned this incident and demanded action from the government against DC Reasi for his unkind behavior toward the media.
