Unbelievable! Tainted bureaucrats of the J&K administration support the ideology of anti-national forces on social media

POONCH TODAY NEWS

POONCH/JAMMU: Although the J&K UT government, time and again, directed all employees not to comment against the national interest or policies of the government, a few self-centred bureaucrats who are holding important chairs in a few departments are seen openly favouring a particular ideology that works round the clock against the national interest, and it’s a perfect example of an open violation of government rules.

It’s an ethical duty of all top officers to maintain secrecy on important matters of national interest, even after their retirement, but some people with questionable credentials who were selected as gazetted officers during the regimes of Kashmir-centric parties were never seen standing strongly with national interests. They even misused their powers and remained part of many big law and order problems, financial scams, and land scams over the years with the backing of those in power in the government or in the civil secretariat. Despite their open love for forces inimical to peace in India, they were given plum postings for years. A few officers branded terrorists as freedom fighters, while a few others openly supported those forces that stand strong against the national interest. Earlier, some police officers were also accused of scripting foul plays that led to law and order problems in some districts of the Jammu division years ago, but in spite of taking action against those erring and arrogant police officers, Kashmir-based political parties, when in power, gave them plum postings for fulfilling their political agenda. Even intelligence agencies brought such types of matters to the attention of the government many times, but despite having full information, the government, rather than taking action against such officers, rewarded them with plum postings. Imagine that if an officer had a weak mindset against the national interest, how could he deliver justice to the people on merit by implementing government policies on the ground? It is seen that a big lobby seems to be operating from different places in which some officers with doubtful credentials, a few NGOs, some media persons, self-styled leaders, and a few similar entities are working around the clock against the national interest policies in different ways and are seen holding secret meetings. A few of them are seen maintaining good relations with the police, army, and civil administration with unknown intentions. Are they leaking internal information about the police, army, or civil administration to enemies of peace by forming strong links with officers and projecting themselves as self-styled prominent citizens of the society? Such forces were never seen criticising Pakistan’s sponsored terrorism or other forces inimical to peace. Such forces, which never took the tricolour into their hands for decades, were seen playing their double roles with the government agencies. Imagine the state of mind of such officers who are openly violating the government’s directions on social media use and love to support those forces that openly stand against the national interest, and it’s a big cause of concern. A high-level inquiry is needed from the government and security agencies to identify those officers who always support forces inimical to peace by remaining in important positions, and if such officers are not taken to task earlier, they may play foul again and again against the national interest, as there is a big question mark on their intentions, going by their social media behaviour. The J&K UT government and intelligence agencies need to prepare a database of such officers that follow a particular ideology against the national interest by denying them important postings in addition to taking legal action against them for breach of trust by remaining in important government positions. These tainted officers reportedly have been implementing their heinous agenda on the ground, and it’s time for the intelligence agencies to smell the rat in advance.
