The programme was attended by CEO Tourism Dr. Mohd. Tanveer, DSWO, Shakeel Ahmed, Chief Medical Officer, Assistant Labour Commissioner, Abid Hussain; Tehsildar Surankote, Sheraz Ahmed Chowhan; BDO Surankote Amir Chowdhary; District Mining Officer, SDPO, Surankote, Officers from bank, CAO, Executing agencies, besides all district and social officers. During the meeting PRI members and locals raised various issues and demands of their areas including augmentation of water and power supply, medicare facility, improvement for roads, availability of transformers and various issues. The Deputy Commissioner after giving a patient hearing to the issues raised during the meeting said that district administration Poonch is committed to provide all the basic facilities at the doorsteps of the public and necessary steps are being taken to ensure the same. He assured them that all their genuine demands and issues will be redressed in a phased manner. The DDC directed the Xen PDD to install Transformer at Panchayat Bufliaz lower immediately. He said that the Government has launched various welfare schemes and programme for the people and asked the PRI members to generate awareness among the masses about the same so that they can avail the benefits. Many issues were resolved on the spot by the DDC. He also reviewed progress in providing the domicile certificates/income/ Category certificates/Labour Cards etc.
