Major SVEEP fraud exposed Part-1,Vigilance inquiry demanded against CEO Poonch and Cultural officer

POONCH: From the last few days, “POONCH TODAY” has been publishing regularly about massive fraud taken place in SVEEP activities before the parliament elections 2019 and based on the facts and figures which “POONCH TODAY” was having, it has been proved again that “POONCH TODAY” reporting was 100% true as this newspaper always believes in presenting stories based on true facts and figures. In a latest exposure on the said issue, large number of government officials which include Chief Education Officer Poonch, Cultural Officer (Academy of Art, Culture and Languages), few Election cell officials, few SVEEP members and few other officials scripted this fraud under the nose of Deputy Commissioner Poonch and after exposure of this fraud, people have demanded a vigilance inquiry against CEO Poonch and Cultural Officer as both the officers failed to justify their claims of expenditure under SVEEP. Earlier, DC Office Poonch vide its no DDEO/P/18-19/13052-55 Dated 10-03-2019, addressed to Chief Electoral Officer J&K said that CEO Poonch was appointed as Nodal Officer for SVEEP activities with few officials as SVEEP members. It is pertinent to mention here that when the program for two days national level mega musical fest was announced under SVEEP campaign, locals of the Poonch started raising their eyebrows over ignoring local talent. The whole program which was organized at Degree college Poonch, remained a poor show with an approximately gathering of 250 plus and huge funds in several lacs reported to be spent on this two days program which raised an eyebrows when it comes to misuse of government funds. Highly placed sources in Poonch administration told “POONCH TODAY” that the role of Cultural officer JKAACL is under question as he failed to present video grapy of each and every activity which he is claiming. Similarly, Cultural officer invited persons of his choice and this led to huge criticism from the locals of the Poonch over the behaviour of Culture Officer. Even son of the soil and national level poet Dr Liaqat Jafri was ignored by him as he preferred to invite his own links, reportedly eyeing hitting financial aspects. Meanwhile, CEO Poonch transferred an amount of Rs Rs 1,68,400 to Culture Officer(JKAACL). In addition this amount, CDPO and DEPO Poonch also transferred an amount of Rs 4 lakh each to Culture Officer. Still, the said Culture officer submitted two bills of Rs 1.05 lakh each to CDPO Poonch for two groups who he claimed to performed Nukad Natak, whereas, there is no record of any Nukad Natak. Even some SVEEP members reportedly leveled serious allegations against the Cultural Officer over his claim that Nukad Natak were organized. CEO Poonch also failed to get full details of funds utilization from Culture officer. There are authentic reports that CDPO Poonch and DEPO Poonch transferred an amount of Rs 8 lakh to Cultural Officer JKAACL for funding to some Poets who took participate in so called “National level musical fest” on 23rd and 24th of May 2019. Reportedly, huge misuse of funds taken place from the side of Cultural Officer. In total, Culture Officer got Rs 9,68,400 and two bills of Rs 1.05 lakh each which he is claiming more from CDPO on account of Nukad Natak performed by two Rajouri based parties, whose authenticity is still under question(To be continued………)
