BDO Sathra, Mandi violate RTI act fearing exposure of foul plays

POONCH: It seems that every official of Rural Development Department Poonch is following the directions of boss of RDD Poonch who violates RTI act off and on. BDO Mandi and Sathra were approached under RTI act to provide details of  amount of funds used under administrative expenses for the last four financial years and amount of funds used on IEC activity which included flex and wall paintings. Both the BDO’s fail to provide the information and it clearly shows that huge murdering of funds took  place in both the blocks. “POONCH TODAY” time and again exposed various blunders in RDD Poonch in which famous Flex and wall painting scam, cement scam, backdoor recruitment scam besides more scams took place. Many Secretary Panchayats, JE’s and GRS employees were involved in preparing fake invoices and looted huge government funds meant for development of far flung areas of Poonch district. Out of all blocks in Poonch district, huge fraud took place in BDO office Sathra and Mandi and fearing exposure of their misdeeds, both the Block Development Officers again violated the J&K RTI act for which a strict government inquiry needed to book the culprits who played havoc with the state exchequer. Highly placed sources with in the department told “POONCH TDOAY”, pleading anonymity, “People should  expect nothing  from RDD Poonch when more than 30% commission is charged by department officials which include GRS, Secy Pyts, Technical assistant, REW officials, BDO and up to ACD office. Majority of invoices prepared in both the blocks during the last five years are fake and it shows that funds to the tune of several crores were misused by department officials”. They said that both Mandi and Sathra  blocks have become hub of corruption and government is doing nothing in bringing to book those who murdered the state exchequer.
