Double standard of Poonch administration exposed; Six structures belonging to poor persons dismantled, influential people not touched in “No Construction Zone”

POONCH: Time and again exposed by “POONCH TODAY” that large number of illegal structures came into existence after September 2014 flood in an area which was declared as “No Construction Zone” by Poonch administration, but administration never bothered to take action against those who were involved in illegal constructions, reason all those constructions were belonging to influential persons. Even some government officials raised their structure illegally. But, the other day, district administration dismantled six illegal structures belonging to poor persons with no back near S.K bridge. All the exercise was carried out to hoodwink government that administration has taken action against illegal structures, but the real picture was not shown to the government in which many big fishes who constructed huge structures illegally were not even touched. This act has shown that district administration Poonch has different set of laws for poor and influential persons. Affected persons whose houses were dismantled by administration, said, “We are poor people having no one at our back, that’s why we were targeted. Why administration did not take action against those people who raised big structures illegally in No construction zone.” It is pertinent to mention here that large number of illegal structures have come up in the said “No Construction Zone” due to the full involvement of some tainted officials of Poonch administration, who remained partners in crime and allowed illegal constructions, but to hoodwink government, six structures were dismantled to show that administration was active against illegal constructions. The role of Poonch Municipality also came under scanner as earlier, Poonch Municipality used to say that the area was not in their domain, but now, on what ground Municipality issued notices to affected poor persons  and not issued notice to influential persons. It shows that administration befooled everybody to protect influential persons for which a high level enquiry is needed from the government to bring real truth in public domain.
