Coronavirus: DDC Poonch appeals people not to panic

POONCH: District Development Commissioner Poonch, Rahul Yadav, the other day, said that the district administration is monitoring the situation closely and people need not to panic regarding threat of Corona virus.
Addressing a press conference here, the DDC appealed the public to ignore rumours regarding Corona Virus and follow the precautions suggested in the advisory of health ministry, including thorough hand washing. He also urged people to avoid any large gathering.
It was informed that so far around 50 people have returned from Saudi Arabia and other countries in district Poonch but all of them have been found negative.
The DDC said that people, who are coming from outside must stay in their homes/quarantine for atleast 15 to 20 days and they should not come in close contact with anybody.
The DDC also informed that quarantine wards have also been established in District Hospital Poonch, if there is any person showing symptoms of the virus, he should be reported immediately so that he could be shifted in the ward.
