Tainted Police officer known for encouraging Bovine smuggling wants his posting as ASP in Pir Panjal

JAMMU: A Police officer who already served on few postings known for Bovine smuggling and earned a lot through this trade illegally, now eyeing to be posted  as ASP in any of the two districts of Pir Panjal. The said officer, eyeing his future career prospects, has started forming good relations with the party in power now, through back channels. Even, he met few leaders of the ruling  party  few days back for persuading them for a posting of ASP in any district of Pir Panjal, but during the meeting, he failed to get a positive response, reason, those leaders know the bad credentials of the said Police officer due to his influence on Bovine smuggling industry. To win posting of ASP in Pir Panjal, he is using different means to win favour of any of the top leader of a ruling party and for that reason, he is even ready to indulge in hand in glove activity, because he wants to get this post of ASP an any cost. It is pertinent to mention here that both the districts of Pir Panjal have few areas where bovine smuggling has remained a flourishing business.  Surankote  and Thanamandi areas in addition of few other areas always remained in news for regular bovine smuggling attempts in the past and in areas falling under police station Surankote, it has become a routine activity from the last few years in which many Police officers remained neck deep involved. The said officer is very brainy and believes in earning money through foul means. It would be interesting to see whether the tainted Police officer will get success in his mission of getting  ASP posting in Pir Panjal or not. Only time will tell as posting of ASPs likely to take place in few districts in near future.
