Unbelievable! Officers take lightly the orders of district administration Poonch

POONCH: The attitude of the majority of officers of district administration Poonch shows that all is not well in the working of district administration Poonch. A letter No ADDCP/PS/2021-22/764-80 dated 16-08-2021 issued from the office of ADDC Poonch shows that officers of the Poonch administration were not keen to work on decisions taken in official meetings aimed at ensuring development at the grass-root level. In the said letter, ADDC, Poonch, said, “While reviewing the progress of the decisions taken in the meeting held on 10^th of July 2021, it was noticed that no substantial progress has been achieved by the concerned officers/departments, and the timeline fixed to redress issues was not adhered.” Moreover, Tehdilsar Mandi was also directed to take necessary steps to resolve all issues raised in the last meeting and also report the names of the delinquent officers/officials. This letter shows that ADDC Poonch has openly accepted that officers of district administration are not interested in addressing public issues of development. On one hand, the LGs administration is keen on solving day-to-day issues of the public, but on the other hand, unproductive officers of the Poonch administration seem to be believed in the culture of showing thumb to the orders of their superiors. If this is the attitude of district administration, then a common man should not expect justice from the administration. The majority of people told “POONCH TODAY” that the district has been facing a scrawny administration as people are not getting the justice, they deserved. Locals have sought the attention of the LGs administration over the matter and also demanded the immediate attention of the government on all development issues block-wise.
