RAJOURI: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal chaired a meeting of the concerned officers to review the progress on the border bunkers being constructed by the PWD and RDD in the district.  Officers who attended the meeting included ADDC, Pawan Kumar; ACD, Sushil Khajuria; CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; SE PWD, ExEn PWD Rajouri, Maqbool Hussain and Block Development Officers. While discussing the progress on bunkers being constructed by the RDD, it was informed that out of 1867 bunkers, the work on 1697 bunkers has been completed. While taking stock of the progress on the bunkers being constructed by the PWD, the meeting was apprised that out of 1274 bunkers, the work on 1217 is complete the and rest are under different stages of execution. The DDC asked the concerned officers to complete the work on all the slab level bunkers in one week and all the other bunkers under execution by two weeks. Reviewing the progress on Geo-tagging, the DDC asked the concerned officers to get all the bunkers geo-tagged by January 15, 2022. The DDC instructed the concerned officers to put in all possible efforts to ensure that the set targets are achieved well in time. He also asked them to maintain the quality while executing the works on the bunkers.

He directed the concerned officers to ensure that the bunkers are provided to all the border inhabitants so that their lives are saved from the cross border shelling and work in double shifts to complete the work on the rest of the bunkers in a time-bound manner.
