POONCH: In view of the coming Shri Budha Amarnath Yatra, the district administration in Poonch has made all the arrangements. The yatra will start on August 18 and culminate on August 27.

The historic charri yatra will leave Shri Dashnami Akhara on August 28th for Shri Budha amaranth shrine, Mandi, and keeping in view of security aspects, DDC Poonch and SSP Poonch have prepared a security plan for the safe passage of the yatra and Raksha Bandhan festival. Earlier, the issues of security, traffic management, toilets, drinking water, accommodation for yatris, and medical facilities were discussed in detail between the administration and various committees associated with the yatra. DDC and SSP assured all their help to the committee members and said that they would leave no stone unturned to ensure a peaceful and successful yatra. Meanwhile, the people of Mandi town are waiting for the start of the yatra, as this yatra will give a big boost to the local economy of the area. Senior Congress leader Taj Mir said, “As per our past practice, we are keen to receive the yatris. After performing darshan here, yatris will spread a message of peace and communal harmony throughout the country.  This yatra is a perfect example of communal harmony for the entire country. All arrangements have been put in place under the guidance of Swami Ji, the temple committee, and the administration. ” NIshu Gupta, State Secretary, VHP, said, “We are very happy to receive the yatra, which is going to start on the 18th of August. We have made all the arrangements, and this year, the yatra is expected to break all the previous records.  The district administration has cooperated with us fully, and we are hopeful of a peaceful yatra again this year.”
