Sources close to “POONCH TODAY” said that more than three thousand troops have arrived and been deployed at different places. One brigade headquarters, three battalions, and Para SF teams have arrived in the first instance and been given the green signal to finish the revival of terrorism in the Jammu region. The Army Chief’s visit to Jammu today, after the recent MHA meeting held in New Delhi chaired by Home Minister Amit Shah, is also significant on account of this recent development. The government is in no mood to allow the revival of terrorism in the region; as a result, an appropriate policy has been formed and a strong action against terrorism and its support structure is likely. All the sensitive districts of the Jammu region, from an internal security point of view, are likely to witness some hard actions against terrorism and its ecosystem. Sources said that with an agenda to target terrorists and its support structure, the government has formed a comprehensive strategy, and the same will be implemented at the grass-roots level. It is pertinent to mention here that during the last three years, terrorists targeted different places in the Jammu region, and many army soldiers attained martyrdom in those attacks. But the latest incident of terrorism after the result of the parliamentary elections has forced the government of India to take tough steps against terrorism. Highly placed sources privy to the development, close to “POONCH TODAY,” said that some tactical plans have been formulated and the details related to those plans have been kept confidential. With the close coordination between different security and intelligence agencies, a number of all-out operations against terrorism, in addition to demolishing the support structure of terrorism, will be a priority for the security forces.
