POONCH: The other day, Union Home Minister Amit Shah took a historic decision regarding demographic change in the country, an unusual pattern which is causing a big challenge to the national sovereignty and internal security.
This bold decision, which is the need of the hour, keeping in view the national security, has been appreciated by nationalists across the country. In another decision, the Home Minister has ordered the demolition of all illegal structures within 15 km of the international border to check all types of illegal activities which are related to drug trafficking and all forms of terrorism by strengthening the intelligence network near the border. The local authorities are also directed to have an eye on banking transactions in the border areas to detect a silent OGW network of the terror industry. It is pertinent to mention here that the issue of illegal immigrants from Bangladesh who took shelter in West Bengal and Assam remained a most debatable topic over the years, as these illegal immigrants over the years got huge backing from anti-India political forces, which used them during elections and managed to form governments in some sensitive states. As per the reports of intelligence agencies, nearly five crore Bangladeshis, Rohingyas and others managed to take shelter in India with the help of anti-India forces, which has become a big security challenge for the nation. The Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who wrote on his Twitter handle, said, “Infiltration and other reasons causing unnatural demographic change pose a very significant challenge to the present and future of any nation. To address this very challenge, on 15 August 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji had announced the ‘High Level Committee on Demographic Change’. I am delighted to inform you that the government has now constituted this committee. This committee, chaired by Justice Prakash Prabhakar Naolekar (Retd), will include the Census Commissioner along with Shri Durga Shankar Mishra (Retd IAS), Shri Balaji Srivastava (Retd IPS), and Dr Shamika Ravi as members. The Joint Secretary (Foreigners-I), Ministry of Home Affairs, will serve as the Member Secretary of this committee. Demographic change is a serious issue linked not only to our sovereignty but also to national security, law and order, profound changes in social structure, and the preservation of tribal society. This committee will conduct a comprehensive assessment of demographic changes occurring across India due to illegal immigration and other unnatural causes, analyze patterns of abnormal population shifts at the level of religious and social communities, and present a planned and time-bound solution for the same.” This action, purely in the national security interest, is likely to trigger a massive political debate across India as anti-BJP parties will launch a social media war against the union government through its paid social media machinery, which always works against the national interest. Even in a peaceful and tourist-destination state like Uttarakhand, there has been a massive silent demographic change which has posed a big challenge to the religious epicentre of Sanatan. Likewise, some more states are continuously witnessing this pattern, as it’s an established fact that all anti-India forces operating from outside and within the country want to destabilise Bharat by scripting massive demographic changes for the future. Many political and religious forces following a particular ideology against the nation over the years gave repeated controversial statements that when they get more power in numbers, they will change the status quo of the country by all means. Such forces, who danced under the influence of some global anti-India forces, even threatened to carry out massive law-and-order disturbances across the country. The timely constitution of this high-profile committee on demographic change and ordering the demolition of all illegal structures within 15 km of the international border by the home minister, Amit Shah, is a historic decision aimed at protecting the nation from possible foul play from anti-national forces who are sparing no moments in destabilising the nation in their various capacities through their regularly silent operations. The Home Minister said that the committee will submit its report within a year, and after that, the government will take action on the recommendations of the report submitted by the committee. The Home Minister Amit Shah, who is widely known as the modern-day Sardar Patel of India, has already taken many historic steps against the terror industry. After becoming the Home Minister in 2019, within two months, Shah played a vital role in the abrogation of Articles 370 and 35A from the soil of J&K, a step which was considered impossible for decades. The Home Minister gave full powers to the security forces to wage an all-out war against terrorism, and because of the hard policies adopted by the security forces against terrorism, the Kashmir region witnessed a massive change. The decades-old problem of Naxalism has been finished with the heavy efforts of the home minister. Now, the recent strong actions against demographic change by forming a high-level committee and ordering demolition of all illegal structures within 15 km of the international borders show that the home minister has decided to take on all those forces which have been working overtime within and outside the country to destabilise Bharat by any means. The demographic change issue poses a serious threat to entire India, and this threat needs to be tackled strongly by the union government. The anti-national forces, after carrying out their successful operation in Kashmir in 1990 by murdering, torturing and throwing Kashmiri Pandits out of the valley under their demographic change tactics, are now eyeing the same pattern in different states of the country, including the nationalist Jammu region. In the UT of J&K, the Jammu region seems to be the next target of these anti-national forces, who have encroached on more than 14 lakh kanals of government lands with an agenda of scripting a massive demographic change in the Jammu region on the 36-year-old pattern of Kashmir when Kashmiri Pandits were thrown out of the valley. The other day, the former DGP of J&K Police, Dr S.P. Vaid, who always speaks on issues of national security importance, also indicated the same and raised his concern before the government. It’s time for the union government to smell the rat in advance and need to launch strong operations to keep the nation protected from all angles and by any means, because evil eyes were hatching dangerous conspiracies from within and outside the country against Bharat.
