POONCH: Although the Union government tried its best to ensure Indians don’t suffer from the Middle East crisis, PM Modi, the other day, appealed to all the Indians to unite in these hours of crisis due to the conditions arising from the ongoing Middle East crisis.
The PM emphasised strict discipline and hoped that Indians would survive this tough time again after the Covid-19 crisis. In his speech, the PM wanted the Indians to adopt a work-from-home culture and restrict buying gold for one year. He also appealed to the people to save petrol by minimising the use of vehicles and also stressed buying local products to ensure that the Indian economy doesn’t suffer during the ongoing Middle East crisis. PM Modi, in his speech, said that it’s the moral duty of every Indian to live life in a responsible way, as every act of an individual must serve as a national duty. Aiming to save fuel, PM Modi emphasised to the people the use of public transport. During the past some time, the Indian rupee has also hit a low, which has become a cause of concern. Think tanks that are close to New Delhi hint that the government may impose some curbs touching important areas with an agenda to ensure India survives this tough time again. It is pertinent to mention here that the choking of the Strait of Hormuz has affected several countries’ economies. Many countries have already introduced tough measures to deal with the ongoing Middle East crises, which are expected to get worse further due to the stances adopted by Iran, the USA and Israel. After the speech of PM Modi, a number of union ministers and state chief ministers have announced a drastic cut in their security cavalcade. At the same time, people across India have appealed to the Prime Minister not to cut his security cavalcade, as his security is of utmost importance to the nation. Political observers and those associated with economy-related issues opine that the union government is thinking times ahead to save the country from various incoming disasters, and this is the only reason that the Prime Minister has bluntly told the Indians to be ready and opt for self-imposed discipline and be united in these hours of crisis which have the capability to hit lives across the globe. PM Modi exhorted the Indians that through unity and strict discipline, India would be able to survive this tough time again after the Covid-19 crisis. After the seven appeals of PM Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah has also reduced the size of his security cavalcade. The strict discipline being adopted from the top of the union government will definitely impress the common man to stand in unity with the government, as no government can achieve success in any country unless supported by its people. India is known for unity during the hours of emergency, and PM Modi fully knows the fact. During the tough times in the last seven decades, Indians always stood with their government, and through discipline and unity, India overcame maximum challenges. Going by positive history, PM Modi has touched the sentiments of the Indians with his speech and emphasised strict self-imposed discipline in every area of life to ensure Indians don’t suffer at any cost from the ongoing Middle East crisis, which is likely to deteriorate further. As the Prime Minister, Modi has humbly appealed to all the Indians to follow the seven appeals mentioned by him in his speech; it’s the testing time for every Indian to leave their personal interests and stand behind the Union government in these hours of crisis, as only the PM Modi, who has already become a global leader, has the guts to steer the Indian ship out of the crisis, provided he gets the support of all of India.
