Will Poonch and Rajouri administrations provide white paper on funds utilization on Corona crisis?  Health, RDD under radar

POONCH: Already reported by “POONCH TODAY” that large scale misappropriation of funds have taken place in Health and Rural Development Department Poonch and Rajouri districts, but both the district administrations are reluctant to provide a white paper on funds utilization on Corona activities. In health department Poonch, huge bills were withdrawn over questionable activities and same is the condition of RDD. Even, one of the BDO offices in Poonch district took Rs 30,000 for passing a bill of Rs 2 lakh related to masks. Acting on story published by “POONCH TODAY”, Crime Branch Jammu, vide its letter no CBJ/Dy-SP/PNP/20/12839 dated 12-06-2020 directed RDD to provide details of Purchase/ distribution of face masks, total expenditure incurred on sale purchases during the current year. ACD Poonch also directed all BDOs to provide details of the same. It is pertinent to mention here that large numbers of reports are coming from both the districts regarding brazen misuse of funds on corona activities and government seems to taken cognizance of such reports and as a result, an inquiry has been started through Crime Branch Jammu. To put all speculations to rest, both the district administrations of Poonch and Rajouri should present a white paper on funds utilization on Corona activities to ensure that nothing went wrong, else people will be forced to raise eyebrows on financial fraud carried out during corona crisis, both in Poonch and Rajouri districts.
