Credibility of Rajouri administration all time low over defunct administrative system

RAJOURI: Rajouri administration has been facing credibility crisis for the last few months as locals alleged that nothing lies in order in many departments. On the issue of Quarantine centers, Rajouri administration is already facing public wrath. One person(Identity not disclosed), who was tested positive last month, spent few days in Quarantine centre and when he came out, he said, “Jail is a better palace than Quarantine centers of Rajouri, because, there is no cleanliness in centers. People, who were quarantined never got good quality food and surprising was that they were getting lunch and dinner in polythene, which was banned by government.” On an another issue of administrative deficit, a blue eyed official posted in DC office for years, was reported to be the main player, who has been playing foul and nothing moves in administration without his consent. On the issue of illegal constructions in Rajouri town, the said official was the main person, who decides, which construction needs to face action and which not. The other day, DC admitted the failure of his administration and took action against ACD and BDOs over poor performance in PMAY-G scheme as RDD officials failed to achieve the target. RDD Rajouri has already become a hub of corruption with Block Kalakote as the main corruption centre in addition of similar other corruption centers. Similarly, is the condition of PWD, Jal Shakti, Irrigation, Revenue, and few other departments, where open corruption reportedly was going on. Most of the officer of Rajouri administration are openly murdering Central RTI act, fearing exposure of their wrong deeds. Whole system has become defunct in Rajouri and people are finding no body for showing their grievances. Rajouri Municipality is an another area where successive Executive Officers, over the years, looted government money on fake withdrawal under various schemes. Even, some relatives of influential persons were adjusted in Municipality out of the way and it shows that a high level nexus is operating in Rajouri Municipality. Similar reports from Kalakote Municipality are also coming about defunct system and officials are openly indulging in scripting various financial frauds. Another shocking factor is that an officer of high cadre, who was already facing inquiry in corruption charges during his posting at an important chair in Jammu, was brought in Rajouri and from such unfortunate acts, one can easily comes to the conclusion about how much credibility Rajouri administration has in the eyes of public on brazen corruption charges. Government needs to intervene into the matter and must bring immediate reforms in Rajouri’s administration for winning public confidence.
