Cooperation between ‘Public’ and ‘Administration’ must for breaking the COVID-19 chain

POONCH/RAJOURI: Second COVID wave is proving to be disastrous one and has been taking many lives.

Surge in COVID positive cases during the last few days  and  deaths of  some COVID patients in Poonch and Rajouri have generated fear among the public, but people seem to have not learnt any lesson from this ongoing tragedy, because in many markets of Poonch and Rajouri, people can be seen in huge number for various activities. However, police personals of both the districts have been performing their job strictly, but one sided response has not been generating desired output. For breaking the COVID-19 chain, cooperation between ‘Public’ and ‘Administration’ is must and all stakeholders need to understand the gravity of the situation. LG of J&K UT Manoj Sinha, in his message, the other day, also stressed for saving the lives of the people. Recent decision of J&K government of providing COVID-19 kits to positive patients is also a much needed and appreciable decision aim at saving the lives of people. Moreover, the latest decision of DC Jammu in starting house to house testing is also a good step and the same procedure should be implemented in all the districts of Jammu division. J&K govt has also announced some  measures for those who lost their near and dears during COVID pandemic and this gesture of LG has been appreciated by one and all. Public of twin districts of Rajouri and Poonch should understand the situation by broaden their mental horizon and should support civil and police administration in containing the virus by restricting their outside activities.
