POONCH: The horrible state of affairs in the Poonch administration is evident from the fact that an engineer who is a technical officer to an executive engineer is running a big nexus in the department and has become potent in the department, not on account of positive things, but as far as managing all frauds is concerned, on part of the DC office and the DDC Chairperson’s family.

The said engineer is running an illegal stone crusher in open violation of the rules, but nobody in the administration took action against him because he also has a good connection with the Deputy Commissioner Officer. He is also known for spying activities and used to guide the Executive Engineer, S.E., and Chief Engineer in the wrong way to fulfill his agenda of running a big nexus in the department. He remained on the radar of anti-graft agencies, but he managed things due to the influence of the DDC chairperson’s family. The said family loves to threaten government officials of some important departments by saying that they will transfer them by asking LGs administration if they fail to listen to their dictates. This engineer, who is not trustworthy in the department, loves to bring his own men to important places in the department with the help of the DC office and the DDC chairperson’s office. Even some rooms in the Dak Bungalow have been to his close ones who never paid HRA. Even some cooks were thrown out of the Dak Bungalow because they were not following his orders. The said engineer was involved in the Mandi Polytechnic scam by misusing his position brazenly and earning several lacs out of the project. He runs a nexus in the department in the name of his family and plays a big part in managing various contracts. He runs a big business under bogus names and has partnerships in many business activities with others. He has the backing of the DDC chairperson’s family, and the entire family plays open shots from financial angels by misusing the name of LG’s administration. He owns a stone crusher, a culvert pipe machine, excavator machines, dumpers, tippers, and many more items that he grabbed with his illegal acts. In the department, his most important duty is to spy for the DC Office and for the DDC Chairperson’s office. He used to give every bit of information to the top chairs in addition to holding many charges in a hidden manner. By using DDC Chairperson and DC Office Poonch, he loves to settle scores against those who never accept his illegal things. Earlier, the GST of his family agency was suspended by the STD because the said agency of his family never paid GST, which was amounting to nearly one crore, but he still played a big part in the release of bills to his family’s agency. He has some improper documents related to construction work, and even his stone crusher project is a totally  blatant violation of the rules. In spite of his massive frauds, he is being backed by the DC Office and the DDC Chairperson’s family. He is the main person who gives them important information through various sources. Recently, he was under attack for poor-quality blacktopping work from Purani Poonch and other parts of the city, as he was the person who was looking after the said work. In many projects, he was accused of using substandard material. By taking full advantage of his links with the DC office, the DDC Chairperson, and her family, he is still hitting bullseyes and has become an eyesore for the department. It’s high time for the anti-graft agencies and government to take such an employee to task who is involved in multiple financial scams and frauds of every type.
