POONCH: A search operation was launched in the Khari Karmara area of Poonch near the LOC as the Army witnessed suspicious activity and opened fire last night.

In the firing, one person identified as Yasser Hussain S/o Nazir Hussain R/o Khari Karmara was injured. He was shifted to the Raja Sukhdev Singh Hospital, Poonch, and was given treatment. It is important to mention here that the Army and police are on alert as the region has witnessed some attempts to revive terrorism in the region in addition to attempting to smuggle drugs into Indian territory.
