Tainted RDD officials are earning money out of the way in Block Poonch and Surankote

POONCH: Exclusively reported by “POONCH TODAY” time and again that RDD department Poonch has become a hub of corruption, because over the years, massive murder of funds took place in various blocks of Poonch district. Under 14^th FC, single JE was looking after the charge of many Panchayats and it’s extremely difficult for a JE to supervise all works. Same is the story of Poonch and Surankote blocks, which also remained in news for brazen corrupt activities. Technical Assistants, VLW, GRS  and few other employees were seen hitting financial gains out of the way by ensuring poor quality works. Even, bills were withdrawn for those works which are not existing on the ground in Surankote and Poonch blocks. Under CD funds of ex-legislatures, massive fraud was taken place with the full involvement of TAs, Secy Pyts and other senior officials. Many RDD officials from Block Poonch and Surankote became overnight lakhpatis. Even, many RTI applications were given a cold shoulder by BDOs sensing exposure of misdeeds of their blocks.  Continuous violation of RTI act by BDO offices  shows that something is fishy in the state of affairs of BDO office Poonch and Surankote and that’s the reason, why BDO offices have been violating the transparency act and also been protecting tainted officials which included Technical Assistants, GRS, JE’s, VLWs and few office staff members. The reputation of BDO office is very bad in the eyes of common man of Poonch. Locals alleged that many fake bills under different schemes were withdrawn during last three years. Funds under one scheme were transferred to other schemes for corrupt practices. Even few ex-legislators were given out of the way benefits in many schemes. The level of corruption in  BDO Office is evident from that fact that material meant for development was sold illegally on many shops. Technical Assistants, JE’s, Secy Pyts, looted govt money and shocking was that they were not taken to task by BDOs and ACD Poonch. Huge financial frauds were taken place in Panchayats Ajote, Degwar, Degwar Maldayalan and nearby panchayats by various Secy Pyts, T.A’s and JE’s. A high level inquiry is needed to bring to book, tainted officials of Block Poonch and Surankote, who looted government exchequer on fake works and still doing frauds activities.
