Befuddled Rahul Gandhi fails to get a huge response in Jammu region during his “Bharat Jodo Yatra”, Ignores Pakistan’s terrorism, attacks Modi-Shah-Doval; NC, PDP save Rahul’s pride in valley

POONCH/JAMMU/SRINAGAR: Congress MP and senior leader Rahul Gandhi was expecting a big response to his “Bharat Jodo Yatra” in the Jammu region, but when the rally reached the Lakhanpur border, he was surprised to see only a bunch of congress leaders.
This rally would have been a disaster if Ch. Lal Singh and his large number of supporters had not arrived. While entering Samba and Jammu districts, the response that Rahul was expecting was far below what it was, and there are inside reports that Rahul was not happy with the Congress leaders of J&K. During the yatra, some Congress leaders gave controversial statements against the army and even failed to mention anything about the “Dhangri” incident, where some people from the minority community were killed in a terrorist attack. Had Rahul maintained his silence on “Dhangri” to please the Kashmiri vote bank? Furthermore, Rahul was seen targeting media people by calling them “Godi media,” as many media people described Rahul as a “bemused” leader who, rather than answering their questions with appropriate logic, was seen using the term “Godi media” to avoid meritorious questions that had the potential to expose the Congress’s lies. The famous Tukde-Tukde gang members were also seen joining the “Bharat Jodo Yatra” in the Jammu region. At Lakhanpur and during media interactions, Rahul was seen in a completely befuddled state of mind. According to sources in the Congress camp, Rahul was dissatisfied with the J&K Congress leaders’ response to the yatra in the Jammu region. Rahul was taken aback by senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh’s remarks about the Indian Army, and he later stated that Digvijay’s remarks were his personal opinions, not those of the Congress. A senior citizen of Jammu, pleading anonymity, told “POONCH TODAY,” I fail to understand why Tukde-Tukde gang members love Rahul Gandhi and always come to his support. It’s a hard-core fact that Congress ruled the country for over six decades and dismantled various state governments at their will, and was also involved in scripting communal clashes in the country for vote bank politics,” he added. “Congress leaders must look within themselves as they were responsible for dividing the country on the basis of caste, color, and creed, and now this illogical “Bharat Jodo Yatra “did not work at all on the ground”. In the Jammu region, people preferred to stay indoors rather than catch glimpses of Rahul. Rahul Gandhi, a young Congress MP, was also seen smiling in response to a poster referring to Rahul as “Pappu” that was pasted on the rooftop of a shop in the area. Only a large number of security personnel and hundreds of Congress workers were present during the yatra, but the common man preferred to stay away from it in the Jammu region. J&K Congress’s poor management of the event forced Rahul to express his frustration with his confused statements in front of the media. Political observers termed the “Bharat Jodo Yatra” as a big flop in Jammu region and advised Rahul to first stand in national interest by throwing out all Tukde-Tukde gang members and anti nationals before anticipating the entire country to stand with him; otherwise, he was just wasting his time. However, the yatra received a good response in Kashmir Valley because hundreds of workers from the NC and PDP joined the yatra. Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti also joined the yatra. While entering Kashmir, Rahul played up a big security lapse to woo the Kashmiri people, but his drama did not last long as security agencies clearly said that there was no security lapse. During the final day of the yatra on January 30, in which representatives of some opposition parties were present, Rahul, amid facing snow, attacked the BJP led NDA government at the centre and tried to label the government as an institution promoting hatred. He did not mention anything about Pakistan and its decades old terrorism against India to please Kashmiri people, but was seen labelling Modi-Shah-Doval trio as perpetrators of violence. But one thing was clearly visible, and that was the frustration of Rahul, as he did not find any suitable subject on which to address the media and the people, but rather wasted no opportunity in attacking the government, security agencies, and the media with mindless rhetoric. A senior citizen, pleading anonymity, said, “The main target of Rahul Gandhi was to wipe out other PM post contenders in the opposition camp, and this was the reason he decided to start the yatra, but his yatra will have no impact at the national level in the 2024 parliamentary elections as far as countering the BJP is concerned. PM Modi created an atmosphere of peace in Kashmir after the abrogation of temporary articles 370 and 35-A, that’s why Rahul Gandhi was able to unfurl tricolour at Lal Chowk”. Over all, Rahul’s yatra in the Jammu region remained a big failure, however, due to the active participation of NC and PDP workers, Congress managed to save some pride in the Kashmir valley with the presence of a hundreds of people who welcomed Rahul Gandhi during the yatra and on the final day of a rally at S.K stadium in Srinagar amid snowfall.
